Working with College and University clients is a primary focus. We take pride in the many structures we have built and renovated at schools throughout the United States.  We also work with College administrators on a wide variety of initiatives including strategic planning, master planning and considering the changes affecting higher education institutions.

Many trends in society affect the College market.  Factors including curriculum, student demographics, lifestyles are continually evolving and require responses in the built environment.  We participate in workshops and events with The Council of Independent Colleges to better understand the unique needs of our liberal arts clients.  Our awareness of ever-evolving teaching and learning methods in science, technology, engineering and mathematics has been developed through an intensive 14-year involvement with Project Kaleidoscope.

Today’s college and university facilities must reflect changes in teaching and learning, the impact of technology, and new student needs and desires. 

• The A. J. Palumbo Hall at Carlow University meets/addresses the need for spaces that promote collaborative learning while putting science on display. 
• At the University of Pittsburgh’s Hillman Library, our design will enhance learning through group study and technology.  
• The DiSepio Institute for Rural Health and Wellness at St. Francis University promotes student wellness and fitness while serving the surrounding rural communities as an outpatient clinic. 
• The renovations at the Allegheny College Campus Center promote round-the-clock student activity with enhanced visibility and interactivity for student groups.  Changes in the dining spaces reflect what students want in a healthy menu? and accommodate them with a variety of offerings and many seating choices for dining in open or private settings.
