CFB has designed sports facilities at many different scales. The world's first FieldTurf stadium at Ringgold High School is a credit to our materials research. Application of the FieldTurf product was limited to soccer fields in Canada before CFB brought it to Ringgold, making it the first football field in the world to use this product. Today there are literally hundreds of high-school, college and professional fields using FieldTurf, but we did it first!
Many of our recent projects, including on-campus sports and fitness centers, have been designed to enhance student life at the college level.
The McKenna Center at Seton Hill University and the Junker Center for Student Recreation at Penn State Erie are recent examples of this trend.
The Duquesne Club’s Health and Fitness Center helped to propel the Club to a national ranking as the best city club in the USA. Designed for 400 members initially, expansion was required only three years after opening. Pilates, spinning, aerobics, cardio, weight training, massage and other activities and a healthy restaurant are all included.
Recreation centers, stadiums, pools, gymnasiums, health and fitness centers and competition venues have all been a part of this area of practice.
